The honest answer is: it depends. Which is no help at all when you are trying to plan a budget. So here is what actually drives the price of a PrestaShop store, and what to realistically set aside.
What the price depends on
- The size of the catalogue: 30 products and 5,000 products are not the same job
- Design: a template with adjustments, or design from scratch
- Integrations: payments, delivery, ERP and accounting
- B2B logic: price groups, discounts and special prices
- Speed work and the groundwork for Google
Rough figures
We offer two routes. Renting: we build the store and then run it — a 790 € setup fee, then from 59 € a month on a five-year contract, which covers store hosting, payments and delivery. Maintenance is not included and is billed separately, from 49 € a month. Buying: the store is yours, a one-off build from 2,900 €, paid 50 % on order and 50 % on completion. Within either route the final figure depends on the catalogue, the design and the integrations. Every line is on the price list.
The running costs people forget
A store is not a one-off cost. On the rental, hosting, payments and delivery are already in the monthly price. On a purchase, budget for hosting as well (from 100 € a year, depending on the size of the store). Maintenance — updates, security and backups — is included in neither case and costs from 49 € a month. That line is the difference between a store that still works in three years and one that quietly stops.
Already have a store?
If you only need an upgrade or a move to faster hosting, a migration is normally far cheaper than a new build. We quote it after looking at the store you have — see the store audit.
